Special Site for the 140th Anniversary
Many thanks go to those who participated in the competition for the 140th anniversary logo design. As a result of careful evaluation by the OCU 140th Anniversary Committee, the following six designs were shortlisted for the final screening.
The final round of voting by general public take place from Thursday 3 October to Wednesday 9 October 2019. The design that gained more voting scores will be selected as the 140th Anniversary Logo Design.
Anyone can participate in this ballot and your vote is very much appreciated.

?Circle represents harmony, peace, circulation and eternity. ?Three colors symbolizing OCU are used. ?ANNIVERSARY and 沙巴体育平台 are written on the outer circle and the design represents globally leaping OCU. ?Clock showing 1:40 indicates the 140th anniversary.

?The anniversary is symbolized by overlaying the OCU logo on the number 140. ?Six free and dynamic lines are the images of the slogan "history, tradition x appreciation, pride x innovation and leap" of OCU which will celebrate the 140th anniversary. ?The logo expresses OCU leaping and expanding for the future.

?Many learning and passion of the youths are packed in the history of 140 years. The design expresses value and expansion to the future which cannot be expressed with the numbers by adding infinity mark(∞)in the number of 140. ?With the feather of Mercury, god of shopkeepers and merchants, "history, tradition x appreciation, pride x innovation and leap" (2 x 3) are expressed and three colors representing each are used.

?"1" in the number of 140 expresses the Building No. 1, OCU's symbol. ?"4" is a metasequoia, symbol of OCU, related to discovery by late Dr. Miki. ?"0" stands out even from a distance and can easily be recognized as OCU. It represents the OCU Media Center.

?”Seeds of OCU sprouting out in the world and creating future" - a Washington palm tree and the Building No. 1 are the motifs. ?Although the palm trees have been cut down, the seeds are inherited in the campus and learning and experiences at OCU will become seeds and grow in various fields in and outside of Japan.

?The clock tower of the Building No.1 symbolizing history ?The emblem style praising achievements of 140 years ?The slogan expresses a motif of an academic emblem "Mercury, god of shopkeeper and merchants", feather reminding further development of OCU. ?Symbol of learning "Book" is designed.
